The months go marching by, a fast-paced quickstep. Can it already be time to experience July? So it is.
Once again I offer you a calendar page for your use and, I hope, enjoyment. Just click on the image above or click HERE to download it from my freebies set at my Flickr site. The All Sizes link gives you the download options. This month I've chosen the Crab, the zodiac symbol for the water sign of Cancer.
I photographed this particular crab in Troup Square in Savannah, Georgia. The historical section of downtown Savannah is blessed with numerous squares, or parkettes. Most feature a monument, fountain, or some type of statuary.
The crab is featured on a zodiac sculpture in the middle of the square; it's absolutely stunning. All the zodiac signs are represented along with the roman numerical symbols as well. And the sphere rests on the backs of beautifully carved turtles.
To the left here, I've included a photograph of the entire work of art. I know I've said many times that you should get yourself to Savannah if you've never been, and I'll say it again. For an artist, Savannah is a must-visit city.

Great calendar page Lennie. Thanks for sharing.
Lennie, I love all your photographs. Thanks for sharing. If I knew how to change my blog header I would use it. Well, I'd have to change my whole blog background and all...... Someone should teach an online class on creating for one's blog. I'm too worried about destroying it or not being able to go back to what I currently have.
I love this calendar page, AND I notice that you are now a permanent fixture over at Poppytalk in their colour posts! Bravo. As always, my inspiration :) I'm off to look for a "troface"!
Lennie, I want to thank you for all of the inspiration you've been providing during this class. Not only is your work stunning, but your empathy, and generosity with regards to helping your fellow comrades is unparalleled.
I'm printing the calendar now! It's gorgeous!!!!!! xoxoxo Gloria
