Memories of Savannah

Whenever I leave the house, I have a camera with me. So it goes without saying that I take many, many photographs. I am always pulling my little Sony camera out of my purse when something catches my eye. On vacation, the photography is never-ending; I just about always have my "good" camera within reach as well as the one in my purse. I have thousands of photographs taken while travelling. Last night, I was browsing through some of the vacation folders on my computer and spent a good deal of time looking at my Savannah images. So I opened up photoshop and had a little creative fun with a few of them; they're now up in my photo galleries on Flickr if you'd like to have a look.

The billboard, above, is one of those photographs. And its message is completely true. The best shrimp I have ever eaten, hands down, are the local shrimp in Savannah. Don't miss them if you ever visit this beautiful Georgia gem.

Lennie,
I looked up your website because I was making a recipe of yours from recipezar. I hope you don't mind if I ask a question. I am not up to speed on blog etiquette. The recipe is "Company's Coming Pasta Casserole for a Crowd". It calls for only 1 lb of shell macaroni and says it feeds 25. Everything I have read for estimating pasta says to figure 1 lb for 4-5 people on a main course. I am having a pasta party for the Varsity Football team after practice. 40-45 hungry teenage boys and I don't want to come up short. Will 1lb really feed 12???
Thanks for your help. I love your blog. I already started reading The Leisure Seeker.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and I'm glad you had a look around. I just know you'll love The Leisure Seeker!
About the recipe .... as I stated in its description, I have never made that recipe myself (it was posted in response to a request), so for more specific information I'd suggest you contact the members who have made and reviewed it :-)
BUT looking at the vast quantity of ground beef, onions, cheese etc -- pounds and pounds of food -- I'd say the recipe would realistically offer up many servings! Just remember that the size of a single serving IS subjective and people often take 2 or even 3 servings, so plan accordingly. I know I have personally made casseroles with a pound of pasta and just a pound of so of ground beef, plus extras like cheese, mushrooms and the like, and easily had eight servings from it, so to say that recipe provides 25 servings seems realistic to me. Hope that helps and thanks again for stopping by!!
